Kensington area guide

Kensington: A fusion of culture, luxury and history

One of the bustling areas, Kensington offers an array of cultural activities and a luxury lifestyle similar to London life. With areas and activities to suit every taste, this area, which was once the ancient Holland House, was destroyed by bombing during the war and acquired by London County Council in 1952. The Rose Garden, the Italian Garden, and the Dutch Garden are the best-surviving examples of historic landscaping.

Extensive transportation networks

Kensington comes with an excellent public transportation system. Several buses travel their routes at regular intervals amidst the bustling crowds. Easy access to several subway stations guarantees a seamless journey to the metropolis or the lively West End. You can count on convenient travel with a variety of taxi options. The London Tube is the best public transport option here. Among the stations it links to are Gloucester Road, South Kensington, and High Street Kensington. W8's proximity to major airports that serve the London metropolitan region, including Stansted, Heathrow, Gatwick, and London City, is an additional benefit of its location.

Properties to look at

Kensington is also well-known for its Georgian and Victorian terraced homes, many of which have been transformed into magnificent townhouses and spacious apartments. Plush apartments with stunning views of mansions are also accessible. Modern elements seen in recently constructed residential complexes include furnished flats and studio units.

Vibrant business hub

A major business area on W8, Kensington High Street is well-known for its boutiques, eateries, coffee shops, and high-end stores. W8 is home to Holland Park, one of the most loved green areas in London. With its many elegant boutiques, cinemas, and eateries along its side streets, it's no surprise that so many people choose to live here.
